The purpose of this position is to improve the quality of child care in regulated child care programs; to increase the knowledge of child care providers in YoungStar and quality child care issues; provide objective observations and feedback; and utilize assessment tools for child care environment and/or program operations.
Must possess professionalism, self-initiative, ability to meet deadlines, good verbal/written communication skills and solid computer knowledge. Bachelor’s degree and early childhood experience required (Registry Level 14). Master level trainer on The Registry or equivalent qualifications preferred.
Primary responsibilities include on-site consultation and group training with child care providers within a multi-county region in Southwest WI for YoungStar, Wisconsin’s Child Care Quality Rating and Improvement System.
