Member-At-Large, SFTA Board of Directors

Supporting Families Together Association

The board of directors is the organization’s governing body. It is entrusted with the authority to establish policy for the governance of Supporting Families Together Association. Its members are trustees who act on behalf of SFTA and have the principle responsibility for setting and fulfilling the mission. The board forms the strategic plan to accomplish the mission and oversees and evaluates the plan. The board hires the executive directors, provides support and supervision to the directors, is responsible for the financial solvency and sustainability of the organization by providing proper financial oversight and ensuring adequate resources; and establishes and oversees the organization’s policies and procedures for human resource management.

Early Childhood Initiatives Manager

Supporting Families Together Association (Madison, WI)

The Initiatives Manager is responsible for:

  • Keeping SFTA connected to and involved with current trends and initiatives in the early childhood and family support field. In this role the Manager will work with cross-sector partners to create best practice and policy on initiatives that support the work of professionals in the early childhood and family support field.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with statewide stakeholders and collaborating partners to enhance outreach efforts.
  • Development, implementation, and evaluation of programming at SFTA and our member Agencies.
  • Advocating, on behalf of SFTA’s membership network, for early education, child care, and families.

Early Childhood Initiatives Program Coordinator

Supporting Families Together Association (Madison, WI)

Under the general supervision of the Program Manager, the Program Coordinator is responsible for successful program design, implementation, and execution. The Program Coordinator will lead multiple programs internally and statewide level, including the Partner Up! Grant, Child Care Expulsion prevention, Child Health Impacts, professional development related, and SFTA’s early childhood program initiatives. The Program Coordinator will work with SFTA staff and Child Care Resource and Referral Agencies (CCR&R) across the state to advance programing for our CCR&R Members, funders, and stakeholders.

Professional Development Specialist

Supporting Families Together Association (Madison, WI)

The Professional Development Specialist will provide staff of SFTA’s member agencies with professional development opportunities to help them develop skills and knowledge that supports their work. This includes helping staff develop expertise in the training content so they can meet fidelity standards when sharing that content with families and child care providers. This position will coordinate and support multiple pathways to professional development, such as community based training, credit based instruction, and competency based training.
