The Strengthening Families Initiative is a strength based approach to preventing child abuse and neglect. Strengthening Families comes from the Center for the Study of Social Policy and looks at the evidence to find out what factors really reduce child abuse and neglect. This training makes connections between the factors that prevent child abuse and neglect and the strategies that quality early childhood programs can use to build up and support families.
